Our Philosophy

The design aim of the practice is to produce imaginative design solutions which are creative in their response to the client’s aspirations and appropriate to the client’s needs. The strength of our work lies in its fresh approach to creating high quality architecture, strongly integrated with parallel skills in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture.

Sustainability

The projects we work on have a long lasting impact on the surrounding environment and communities and we have always taken this responsibility seriously. We strive to design projects that are responsible and take a long term view of minimising energy use and carbon emissions. This approach involves appraising the client's requirements at a very early stage to incorporate intelligent, environmental control and resilience as an fundamental part of the design.

Ensuring Quality

The office has a network of 25 Apple Macintosh workstations. Our primary CAD package is ArchiCAD, which allows us to develop proposals from early 3D visualisations and fly-throughs to construction documentation in one integrated package.

We can export our files to AutoCAD or MicroStation formats to allow easy exchange of information with other members of the Design Team.

We have dedicated web space to upload drawings and information for large projects, in order to provide an efficient exchange of information to Design Team members.

The practice has worked on projects from £10,000 to £300 million. The principal practice members have considerable experience in dealing with large scale public buildings.
